Web Files
Web files are used at the time of uploading new sites on internet. At this situation it uses different file extensions that are related with sites uploading by using different application. Web file format is very important for the user but there are situation in which it may be corrupted and the possible reason for the corruption are virus attack, error in software, hardware malfunctioning, human error, and many more reason could be responsible for corruption.
Due to this reason it becomes difficult to access the data or files that are related to it. But it does not mean that data could not be accessed any more there are possible situations available that are helpful in resolving corruption and enabling the user to access it again.
Some popular file extension that are used in Web files are as follows:
.asp – It is also known as “Active Server Page”, it contains script that are written in C#, Java Script, VB Script is parsed in Server that finally generates HTML is sent to the client’s browser. Commonly used by ASP.Net and websites. This application supports Windows operating system and Mac OS.
.cer – It is also known as “Internet Security Certificate”, its purpose is to verify the authenticity of a web site not only is this but also checks the installed Web server to establish the validity of website that is hosted on the server. It supports Linux, Windows and Mac OS.
.csr – It is also known as “Certificate Signing Request File”, it includes encrypted block of text that identifies the applicant of the certificate. Not only is this but it can be used to establish proof of identify for web sites. It uses public and private key. It supports Mac OS, Linux and Windows.
.css – It is also knows “Cascading Style Sheet”, it is basically used to format the contents of web page. It contains global and customized properties that show how to display HTML elements. It is used to reduce the amount of work and HTML code that are generated by consolidating display properties of single file.
.htm – It is also known as “Hypertext Markup Language File”, it contains markup code that is stored in the plains text format, not only is this but also used to display the format text and images in a web browser. It is used with MS Web development software. It supports Mac OS and Windows.
.html – It is also known as “Hypertext Markup Language File”, it is web page that is coded in the HTML that can display in Web browser that may contains tables, text, images etc. generally the HTML code is parsed and cannot be seen by the user. It supports Mac OS, Linux and Windows.
.js – It is also known as “JavaScript File”, it is the text file that contains Java script code and is used to execute it in Web pages. It comprises of functions that open and close windows, enable rollover, used to create drop-down menus. It supports Windows and Mac OS.
.jsp – It is also known as “Java Server Page” It is almost similar to .PHP and >Asp but contains java code in place of ActiveX, usually this code is parsed by web server and generates HTML that is sent to the computer users.
.php - It is also known as “hypertext Preprocessor File”, it may contain PHP code that can process online forms, it is used to access the information from a database like Mysql database. It supports Mac OS, Linux and Windows.
.rss – It is also known as “Rich Site Summary”. It is xml based syndication format that contains news headlines and other web content that becomes helpful to distribute information via RSS efficiently. But it must be in text format only. It supports Windows and Mac OS.
.tvpi – Known as “Titan TV Television Listing File”, it is used by web-based television that can be used for listing program data like start and end time, channel, duration etc. It supports Windows and Mac OS.
.tvvi – It is also known as “Titan TV Television Listing File”, it is the service that provides television listening over the web, and used to subscribe program and PVR devices that are used to display in-progress television. It supports Mac OS and Windows operating system.
.xhtml – It is also known as “Extensible Hypertext Markup Language File”, it is the web page that is written in xhtml; basically it is a reformulation of html 4 as an xml 1.0 application. It uses standard HTML, but at the same time has stricter xml guidelines. It supports Windows and Mac OS.
